Administrator - Dublin based

Midsummer Renewables Ltd - Administrator

We’re looking for a friendly and efficient administrator to join our growing Dublin team. If you have an eye for detail, and are passionate about creating a sustainable future, we’d love to hear from you.

Background

In October 2018, the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland introduced a grant for domestic solar pv installations with battery storage. Midsummer Renewables Ltd (a subsidiary of UK-based Midsummer Energy Ltd) was formed early in 2019 and officially opened its doors in May. With a warehouse and office located in Rathcoole, Dublin, we cover the whole of Ireland and Northern Ireland, and sell a wide range of solar PV panels and associated equipment such as battery storage systems and EV chargers for residential, commercial and agricultural installations.

Most of our business is repeat custom from installation companies, so ensuring a superb service is crucial to our success. Part of our offering includes cutting-edge PV design software that integrates with our web ordering system, built in-house by our UK team and which distills 10 years of industry experience in distribution. We have a well-chosen range of top brands, and aim to bring technical expertise and efficient service to a loyal and growing customer base.

The Role

The Administrator will manage all aspects of invoicing, credit control, processing payments and payroll, along with book-keeping, reconciliations and submissions associated with VAT returns and year-end accounts. Other administrative duties will include helping with procurement and maintaining general supplies, helping to administer staff training and ensuring company policies are up-to-date and adhered to. As part of a small team, the role may involve assisting with customer enquiries and order processing during busy periods. This is a fantastic opportunity for a conscientious and thorough individual to join a dynamic young company and help contribute to its success in a growth industry. The salary range is €27,000-€32,000 depending on experience, and is a permanent, full-time position in Dublin. There may also be scope to consider a part-time role.

The ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter with an eye for detail, and an understanding of the principles of accounting in a small business. Prior administrative or accounting experience would be beneficial but is not essential. A fast-learner with a methodical approach and a head for the principles would be equally welcome. You will need to work closely as part of a small team, and assist customers at times, so a friendly and helpful manner is also key to the role. A shared passion for sustainability would also be an advantage. We’re a diverse team (30 strong) across the UK and Ireland, but with a strong shared ethos of protecting the environment through ethical and honest business. If the above sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you.

How to Apply

Please send a CV for the attention of Tommy Kemsley to jobs@midsummerenergy.co.uk and also COMPLETE THIS APPLICATION FORM by the 6th April.
